To date, we have invested in seven start up, or early stage businesses and have established a commercial property portfolio. These businesses operate in the oil, financial services and property industries. Our investments have included start up capital, expansion capital, empowerment funding, structured & leveraged finance and distressed buy-out funding.

We seek to add value to the investments by working closely with the management teams of our investments and by sharing our experience in growing profitable businesses. We also actively seek out rehabilitation opportunities, where assets can be acquired at significant discounts to full value.

Firefly Capital aims to build a portfolio of focused investments for the long term.
We don’t seek to trade investments and the preference is to hold investments over the
very long term.

 

Our investments have created over 1,700 permanent jobs. Over this period, Firefly Capital has created 1 permanent job for every R37,500 invested. Our conservative estimate of our cumulative annual growth rate is 112% during the first 7 years.
